Medusa

The Image of Medusa is a symbol of Protection, power, women’s rights, beauty & ferocity. Like the blood spread over the doors to protect from death during the plagues in Egypt, the face of Medusa upon a door or building was a visible symbol that showed women who were assaulted, abused, wronged, and in need that this was a place of sanctuary for them and wrathful smite for those that come looking for trouble.
