A Mind Crowned By Mushrooms

I’ve been doing a lot of trippy/psychedelic style art lately. This peace not only depicts a mushroom crowned woman meditating, but I made sure to mirror the roots growing from her, with the stretch marks on her stomach. I’ve been wanting to show more variety in the design of female characters in comics, and adding stretch marks from either pregnancy or weight gain and loss, is something I think is cool. A woman shouldn’t have to show this part of her body if she’s not comfortable displaying it, but the changes to a woman’s body should also not be looked down on. Society tries to give us a very narrow photoshopped depiction of what beauty should be, rather than looking through the Kaleidoscope of what beauty is.
